Almagal S.A. is one of the main Venezuelan manufacturers of fence products, wire and its byproducts.  From the start our priority has been to keep up with the industry’s technology upgrades as well as the market changing needs, in order to offer high quality products.

Founded by Juan Lafont Meseguer in 1974, starts off  manufacturing cyclone type mesh, barbed wire and fencing pipe galvanizing, which is what it was named after, as the word ALMAGAL  is the combination of the words WIRE, MESH and GALVANIZING in Spanish.  In 1980 substantially increases its capacity by moving to larger  facility in Santa Cruz de Aragua Industrial park, adding machinery and equipment to draw wire from  wire rod in house, manufacture black annealed, galvanized wire, alternate twist coil barbed wire,  nails, staples and rebars among other products.  Almagal gets consolidated in the national  market and in 1989 starts export activities.  Almagal has maintained a sustained growth, its re-investment policy has allowed constant upgrades broadening lines of products to satisfy the ever changing market needs, both national and international.
